We, the Other, Dec 2025 - Jan 2026

Displayed at the University of Derby Markeaton Street Campus, We, the Other investigates cultural discomforts that emerge from the everyday, ranging from femininity and hyper-sexuality to issues of class and advancements in modern technology. Through fine art and photography, the artists explore how each of these elements affect our ways of life, past, present and future.

The Lost Robots Club, April - May 2025

This exhibition was curated and executed by students of the MA Fine Art and Photography courses at the University of Derby to showcase finished work from the primary stage of the degree.

Museum as Muse, Nov 2024 - Jan 2025

The MA Arts students showcased their original and creative responses (in a seven-day) project at the Derby Museum and Art Gallery. Allowing students to engage with the museum's collection and create new artwork, showing their ability to employ a personal vision and voice as creative artists or photographers.

Kaleidoscope, June - August 2024

Kaleidoscope collated final year BA Contemporary Art and Illustration students work into a group showcase. By merging the pathways across fine art and commercial illustration, the exhibit, much like a kaleidoscope, bursts into colour across the space.

The Archive Project, Dec 2023

The Archive Project is an exhibition by students from across Visual Arts in the Heritage Quay group space. It marks the end of a five-week exploration of what is available in the archive and how it might inform, extend or interrupt their ongoing practice.

The project brought students into contact with the collections and archivists at Heritage Quay, encountering the physical remains of thoughts, ideas, and activities that have shaped the cultural and material world we inherit as citizens and that the students are taking on as emerging creative practitioners.

This foundational exhibition brought together final year BA students across multiple creative disciplines, creating a constellation of work that demonstrates creativity and technical skill across a variety of media.

Poundland Springboard Show, April 2023

Taking up residence in the old Poundland unit of the former Piazza in Huddersfield town centre opposite the Gallery, Second year BA students inhabit the eery yellow rooms.

Portals, Feb 2023

The exhibition explores the theme of 'Portals' through a diverse array of mediums, from paintings to publications. Investigating the impact of a portal-like presence, each member created of 4th Wallflowers responded each with a piece that invite participation and reflection.
